Chip assumes the prime role in microelectronics.In 1958 sept 12, jack kilby demonstrated the working of the first IC.An IC based computer was made in 1961.IC was also employed to make minuteman missile.Pocket calculater were made in 1967 which boosted the commercialization of IC.
